Is anyone else going to the North Face races in Washington, DC on September 6?

I have not run these series of races, but I read lots of race reports from last year's races. There is quite a bit of discussion about this race on Runner's World Forum under trail running. My bet is the issues that they ran into last year have been addressed. Good luck in whatever race you are doing. Tell us how you did.

I was supposed to do the 50k, but due to Governor Kaine declaring a state of emergency in preparation for tropical storm Hanna, the North Face had no choice but to cancel the races. It was going to be my first ultra... The North Face is very graciously sending everyone the race bags and refunding 1/2 of the entry fee. Regardless, I am so disappointed! I will take your previous advice and look into Blues Cruise 50k, though. If anyone else out there plans to do that one, let me know.

I was sorry to see that the race was cancelled. That must have been disapointing. You won't go wrong with the Blues Cruise 50k if you decide to do it. Good luck with your training. I got a little less than 4 weeks to my first 100 miler. Yippee!
