In 2006 we had a great pasta dinner party with about a dozen members of Team Aquaphor and Team Polar prior to the Chicago Marathon.
Last year I was unable to participate so I don't know how things turned out, though I remember that a gathering was coordinated.
So this year I figured I would start the ball rolling on this topic, since I am coming back to Chicago to run as a Pace Leader. Though I am thinking more along the lines of a Saturday luncheon event or even Friday night dinner this time to improve our restaurant availability.
So who is participating this year and who might be interested in a group get together? |

Reply with quote | #2 | I'll be there. I'd be interested in gathering for a dinner, but it would probably have to be Friday night. I'm flying in from WA and have some events planned with family on Saturday.
What pace are you leading?

Reply with quote | #3 | Last things first; I will be leading the 3:30 Pace group for the marathon.
I expect that I will also be arriving on Friday afternoon/evening and that others may have the same or similar conflicts on Saturday, so perhaps it would be best to have a Friday night get-together. |

So far it appears that only Aaron and myself are interested in a get together. Is this year's event not as well represented as in years past or is interest just that low? |

Reply with quote | #5 | I am cancelling the dinner plans since demand is about as low as the amount of time I have not tied up with Pacer duties during the brief weekend in Chicago.
Good luck Aaron. |
