I have never been there and I was thinking about doing the race. Any suggestions on hotels - where to stay. I will be flying in from Las Vegas, NV. I will be meeting up with a friend who will also be racing in the airport who will be flying in from Philadelphia and neither one of us has a clue about New Orleans. |

I would stay in the Quarter, I think you'll enjoy New Orleans much more if you do. You can walk anywhere there once you're there. Search for French Quarter hotels, the Royal Sonesta is right on Bourbon Street. Let me know if you'd like some recommendations on places to eat while you're there, my husband is from New Orleans, and we have family there.
