Hey there Team Aquaphor. Have any of you ever qualified and/or competed in the age group World Duathlon Championships? Is anyone qualified this year for the WDC in Rimini, Italy ? |

If you ever get a chance to participate in a world championship, I highly recommend it. It was very cool to wear a USA uniform and race against athletes from all over the world. I'll never forget the athlete's parade, opening ceremony, etc.
I have not made it on team USA for triathlon, but my wife has in 05, Hawaii, 07 Germany, and 08 Vancouver, so we are seeing the world, one championship race at a time.
I'm hoping to qualify for the 09 Du Championship. It's gonna be held on a Nascar race track in NC, which should be interesting.

I'm qualified this year. I wish I could go. It's too expensive for me to go this year. Are you going? |

I qualified in the men age 35-39 at the Apple Duathlon. I registered for the Short Course WC Du just before the deadline--I wanted to hold my spot. Now I have to figure out if we can afford it. It is quite a chunk to throw down for a one day race. We'll see how it goes. If I bail out I will get most of my reg fee back--hopefully. |

Congrats on qualifying! It is an honor for sure. I recently qualified for the World Long Course Championship in Holland. I wish I could afford it! It's such a hard decision because it may be the only time, hopefully not, but you never know!! |
